A message from the YWCA Board of Directors
Dear staff and friends of the YWCA,
On behalf of the YWCA Board of Directors, it is my privilege to report that our organization is moving forward in a very positive direction with important transitions well underway. We have a bright future and want you to be part of it.
We are particularly grateful at this pivotal point in time to call upon an experienced and well-respected interim CEO, Nancy Lilley. As so many of us know, Nancy has long been committed to honoring the YWCA’s mission, both within these walls and out in the community. By virtue of her talent and experience, she knows and understands the YW on virtually every level.
Nancy’s commitment, and that of the entire management team, are truly valued by the Board of Directors. The Board is determined to continue our organization’s long history, dedication to this community, and overall mission.
Our goals are to work with our interim CEO, staff, and community members to…
- Grow programs and services – specifically childcare, fitness and health, aquatics, classes, and advocacy programs.
- Increase membership
- Maintain financial stability
- Improve communication with members, sponsors, donors, and the community at large
- Consistently and effectively advance the YWCA mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
Please know that we are truly grateful for your support as we move toward a very successful future together.
Sincerely,
Lyne Aurand
President, Board of Directors
